I been #lurking

It’s true. Getting my lurk on in Twitter is just too addicting. Until creating this account for school I didn’t interact much with the social network platform and rarely even used the like button. I do however, consume quality entertainment there most every other day or so. I like checking out stuff on twitter. So much information delivered quickly, it’s great. More informational than my Facebook feed tends to be and less connected to my identity. So many of these social networks are treasure troves of favorite things and favorite people. Like I wouldn’t follow Buzz Aldrin on Facebook for some reason it feels less weird on Twitter. Already my tweets this semester out number my tweets from the account I’ve maintained for years now. Still new to the game in that sense, I am enjoying making connections and learning about instructional design in a digital space.

I’m following #UNOOSA on Twitter and getting a better understanding of what they do. They have this conference coming up in Geneva, Switzerland in August that looks pretty cool. Called Strengthening Space Cooperation for Global Health the conference will have talks about global health with the aim to identify gaps, needs, opportunities, and recommendations about space and health. At the conference, they will be looking to review and consider space cooperation for global health related activities and bring together the space and the global health communities to explore potential future projects and collaborations. The UNOOSA social group is good at alerting the community about killer events like this! Maybe something will pop up on my side of the world.
